Film Review
After all the filming and editing was complete, it was time to move on. After finishing the opening sequence, there was still more to do. I added in music that my partner and I chose, and made the diegetic sound louder. I also had to add text. This included the title sequence including the title of the movie. I picked out a font that I had liked and Sophia agreed that it looked good. This font was called Zapfino. The first person that I showed my film to was my sister, because I knew she would give me an honest opinion. The first thing that she noted was that the acting was a bit awkward. I agreed in a sense, but my partner and and I are very new to acting, and I believed it a bit too late to re-do all of the filming. She told me she enjoyed the font, which I agreed with. Finally, she told me that it was a bit busy with all of the angles. I disagreed with this part, and I explained to her why I did so. In this course, they teach about the use of various angle and cameras movements, and how they make up a film. I also explained that it was a requirement for the course. She understood and congratulated me on being done with the project. The second person I showed my film to was my friend Kayla. Since she is not taking the Media Studies course, I thought she would offer an unbiased opinion. She is also known to be a brutally honest movie. First, she told me that she enjoyed the scenery at the campus, and the use of vibrant colors. I agreed, as the campus nature was very beautiful. Next, she told me she enjoyed the sound effects and music. I appreciated this because I went through a lot of work and made hard effort to create the effects. She gave me a big thumbs up and told me she did not have any critiques, which I was very grateful for. I was overall happy about my film reviews.
