Commercial Blog

 Now that the journey had ended, I am so excited to share my final commercial with you. My partner and I have worked so hard on this. I had so much fun in every aspect of this project like the planning, editing, and filming! I am almost sad for it to come to an end. Nevertheless, I am excited that we have a finished product to show you! This was my first major project of the year and it could not have been more of a success! I am so excited to do this again in the future and continue to improve my skills. Filming and editing have always seemed so interesting to me and they are more fun than I could have ever even imagined! Thank you for coming along with me on this journey. Genre Research: Thriller

Thriller is a genre of fiction associated with high suspense, excitement, anxiety, and anticipation.     Common camera angles in your genre (CAMS)   -The camera angles commonly used to build tension are close up/extreme close up , high angle, low angle, canted/dutch angle, wide shot and pan.   Common Mis-en-Scene in your genre (CLAMPS)   -For the costumes, although they can vary greatly, they often stick with dark colors such as black , brown, and navy , with no bright or vibrant pieces. A female character will often wear dark red. To create a sense of m ystery in a character, they may also wear clothing such as long coats and hats to hide their faces.   -Lighting in the thriller genre is typically low-key and back lighting. Filming at the University of Miami

After a few days of communication, my partner and I decided on filming at University of Miami on Wednesday.  I was not able to get permission from Sunrise Middle School. I also decided against filming at Northeast High School, as they also offer the Cambridge program and I wanted to be careful about not filming in my school or other Cambridge schools. Since Sophia's brother goes to University of Miami, she decided on filming there. I also wanted to film somewhere with an aesthetically pleasing background. She asked her brother to get permission to film on campus. They granted this with the promise that she and I would not make any disturbances. Sophia and I went straight after school on Wednesday. The drive was about an hour, maybe a bit more. I used this time to go over lines and camera angles. Upon arrival, me and Sophia met with her brother.
