Intro Blog

 Hi everyone, welcome to my first official blog! It is so great to meet you! To officially start off my blog, I would like to introduce myself to all possible readers. My name is Aja. I am fifteen years old and I am a sophomore in high school. I am of Middle Eastern and Jewish descent. My father is originally from Jordan, with Jewish heritage from his mother. My mother is from the United States, but of German descent. I was born and raised in Florida. I enjoy listening to music, cooking/baking, and making art. I also enjoy running and playing soccer. On the weekends, I work at a local small sushi restaurant. This is very fitting for me since my favorite food is sushi, specifically vegetables-based since I do not eat fish. I have been working there for over 9 months and am very happy when I am there, my co-workers and I are very close. I have two cats at home named Toby and Calypso. They are almost four years old now. When at school, I am a very high achiever. I am currently taking all AICE (college level) and honors classes, including Pre-Calculus, which is a course two years ahead of my current grade level. I have also often been told that I have a contagiously positive attitude towards others. Production Blog: Filming Over the Weekend

 I am so excited to see you again and to jump right into my second day of filming. The group had planned to film over the weekend to catch up after not filming for so long due to scheduling issues. A convenient weekend was selected by all members, and I was ecstatic to film again! On Saturday, the group met at Ashley's house at around 1 P.M. and began filming. Before the video filming had induced, Jordyn and Ashley worked together to record the audio on the voice recorder which was necessary for one of the scenes being filmed.  The main focus was on filming the opening scene of the character waking up in the morning. This scene included her awakening, grabbing her glasses, and listening to her tape recording/reading her sheet of paper. Production Blog: Props and Makeup

 As the filming day nears, I need to take preparatory actions. The next step is to get the props and makeup  I will film with. These props include fake blood, special effects makeup, a fake gun, a phone, a car, and a few costumes as well. For the fake blood, I will use this for the scene in which I find the dead bodies and when Sophia gets shot. Neither sophia nor I have any sort of fake blood. This meant that I had to take a trip to Ulta Beauty. With my partner alongside, I was successfully able to find some fake blood at Ulta. The next prop that was needed was a fake gun. At first, my partner suggested that I get a realistic looking fake gun. Both she and I agreed upon this. After a while, I realized that this would not be a great idea, and she agreed with me. I thought that someone may see the filming in public, and think that I may actually be causing harm to Sophia. I did not want this to happen.
